Beshalach

Exodus 13:17-17:16

Parshah Beshalach is full of curiosities and unusual features both in the Hebrew and Torah scroll. In this episode, we consider the unusual word used to describe how Israel left Egypt “armed” with weapons. We will also glance at the “72 Names of God”. We will examine the bizarre way The Song of the Sea (Exodus 15) is written in the Torah scroll. There are other things, as well, that we will look into, but be sure to pay attention to what this portion teaches us about tests. They aren’t what you think they are!
