In this lesson we discover how the word “Golgotha” is embedded in the Hebrew text. Then we see how this Torah portion honors Joseph in a secret and in an open way. Next, we learn the meaning of “every man at his own camp, every man at his own banner” and why four particular tribes were chosen to lead their camps. We discuss why Aaron’s name is written in an unusual way in the Torah scroll and how it reminds men to be priests of their homes.
Torah portion Bamidbar is always read before the holy day of Shavuot (“Pentecost”).
