Psalm 25

Of David.

1-11     

[א] To you, Adonai, I lift up my soul^a. ² O my God, [ב] in You I trust; let me not be put to shame^a ; let not my enemies exult over me. ³ [ג] Indeed, none who hope^a for You shall be put to shame^b; they shall be ashamed^c who are wantonly treacherous. ⁴ [ד] Make me to know Your ways, Adonai; teach^a me Your paths. ⁵ [ה] Lead me in Your truth and teach^bme, for You are the God of my salvation; for You I have  hoped^b all the day. ⁶ [ז] Remember^a Your mercy, Adonai, and Your lovingkingdness^a, for they have been from eternity. ⁷ [ח] Remember^b not the sins of my youth or my transgressions. According to Your lovingkingdness^b remember^c me – You; for the sake of Your goodness^a, Adonai. ⁸ [ט] Good^b and upright is Adonai; therefore He directs sinners in the way^a. ⁹ [י] He leads the humble in what is right, and teaches^c the humble His way^b. ¹⁰ [כ] All the paths of Adonai are lovingkingdness^c and truth, for those who keep His covenant and His testimonies. ¹¹ [ל] For Your name’s sake, Adonai, pardon my guilt, for it is great.

12-22

[מ] Who is the man who fears Adonai? Him will He direct in the way^c that he should choose. ¹³ [נ] His soul^b shall abide [lit. ‘spend the night’] in goodness^c, and his seed shall inherit the land. ¹⁴ [ס] The secret of Adonai is for those who fear Him, and He makes known to them His covenant. ¹⁵ [ע] My eyes are ever toward Adonai, for He will pluck my feet out of the net. ¹⁶ [פ] Turn to me and be gracious to me, for I am lonely and afflicted. ¹⁷ [צ] The troubles of my heart are enlarged; bring me out of my distresses. ¹⁸ [ר] Consider my affliction and my trouble, and forgive all my sins. ¹⁹ [ר]Consider how many are my foes, and with what violent hatred they hate me. ²⁰ [ש] Oh, guard my soul^c, and deliver me! Let me not be put to shame^d, for I take refuge in You. ²¹ [ת] May integrity and uprightness preserve me, for I hope^c for You. ²² (פ) Redeem, O God, Israel from all his troubles.

 Galatians 2:20 (CJB)  When the Messiah was executed on the stake as a criminal, I was too; so that my proud ego no longer lives. But the Messiah lives in me, and the life I now live in my body I live by the same trusting faithfulness that the Son of God had, who loved me and gave Himself up for me.

Isaiah 29:13  And the Lord said: “Because this people draw near with their mouth and honor Me with their lips, while their hearts are far from Me, and their fear of Me is a commandment taught by men.”

Psalm 24:3-4  Who shall ascend the hill of Adonai? And who shall stand in His holy place? He who has clean hands and a pure heart, who has not lifted up his soul to falsehood and does not swear deceitfully.

Verse 8

Genesis 4:7  “If you do well, will you not be accepted? And if you do not do well, sin is crouching at the door. Its desire is contrary to you, but you must rule over it.”
