Does every “believer” have the right to refer to himself/herself as a “Christian”? What, according to the Scriptures, is a Christian? The answer may surprise you, but I challenge you to reconsider your definition of Christianity’s most over-used word.
John 1:12-13 – But to all who did receive Him, who believed in His name, He gave the right to become children of God, who were born, not of blood nor of the will of the flesh nor of the will of man, but of God.
John 8:30-32 – As He was saying these things, many believed in Him. So Yeshua said to the Jews who had believed Him, “If you abide in My word, you are truly My disciples, and you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”
Acts 11:26 – … And in Antioch the disciples were first called Christians.
